Security & privacy by design

Verifiable privacy practices.

J Ballard Law’s website reflects the care applied to its technical investigations.

A small public footprint

Pages are built as static HTML. The application serves its own images, fonts, and styles. Its code requires no browser JavaScript or cookies and includes no tracking pixels, advertising services, or analytics.

Inspecting browser network activity

  1. The browser’s developer tools include a Network panel for inspecting requests.
  2. A fresh list of requests can be recorded by clearing the panel and reloading a page.
  3. Page-resource requests should all use this website’s origin.
  4. The Application or Storage panel can be used to check for cookies or browser-storage entries, including any introduced by the hosting layer.

Submitting the contact form makes a first-party request. The hosted form forwards inquiries through Resend to the firm’s Google-hosted mailbox on the server; those transfers do not appear as third-party browser requests. External links make requests only when a visitor follows them.

Deliberate contact handling

The contact service applies server-side validation, origin checks, request-size limits, rate limits, and duplicate suppression. It accepts no attachments and maintains no message database. These controls reduce abuse; they cannot eliminate it.

Maintenance and verification

Website updates are checked for form abuse, delivery failures, unexpected external resources, and dependency vulnerabilities. HTTPS, response headers, provider logging, and hosting protections are also part of operational review. These checks reduce risk without providing a guarantee of absolute security.

Security concerns

Security concerns may be directed to contact@jballardlaw.com with a general description. Reports should exclude confidential data, and testing should not involve real inquiries.
